attempting to soup up my Japanese toilet washlet style
So as you may have surmised from the title of my blog (“Japan 07-08″), my intention was to document the different experiences Tria and I would be having during our year of teaching English in Japan. Unfortunately for you the reader (well, only me the writer/sole reader at present) I never updated past the first post. There are several reasons I’m bad at keeping a blog:
5. I’m addicted to reading blogs. 42 of them (I just counted). And I like to keep my unread count at zero. This doesn’t leave much time to write for myself.
4. I enjoy experiencing life more than writing about it.
3. There’s no #3 because I couldn’t think of a #3. Similar to how I couldn’t think of a post #2.
2. Guilt of not looking for jobs while writing preemptively curbs my potential posts. Bonus fact: the same guilt doesn’t have an effect on my Wii playing.
…and most of all..
1. I’m in a happy relationship. When we first started dating in 2004, my journal posts dropped from one every 2 weeks to one every 2 years. It’s also a well known fact that happiness = boring material.
So with 4 and a half good reasons as to why I haven’t updated my blog for over a year, what future lies in store for it? Well, I’ll be honest and say that it’s going to be a bit of a discovery process. Some topics I may cover include:
video games
technology
my thoughts on past me
Perhaps all of these will be covered, but more likely none of them! So stay tuned for an exciting post #3.
